Commercial Disputes

Besides breach of contract, many commercial disputes involve claims of fraud or other intentional misconduct. We have experience in a wide range of civil cases involving commercial torts, including claims of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, defamation and tortious interference with contract. Moreover, we bring our prosecutorial experience to bear when investigating or defending claims of wrongdoing.

Our litigation practice has been successfully in defending personal injury cases, including medical malpractice claims and class actions. We have experience in tort litigation, including products liability cases.
Real Estate Litigation
Commercial real estate has long played a key role in the economy of our region, and much of our litigation experience grows out of disputes among parties to commercial real estate transactions. Our practice exposes us to these disputes from many perspectives. We represent:
- Real estate owners and developers in disputes with tenants, lenders, investors, brokers, partners, title insurers, adjoining property owners, and with the government;
- Institutional lenders in litigation with owners and developers of commercial real estate;
- Brokers seeking commissions in commercial real estate transactions; and
- Individual clients in disputes arising out of the purchase or sale of residential real estate.
